500TH ANNIVERSARY OF PIRI REIS AND HIS MAPS EXHIBITION
Interactive Etkivizyon installation set up on a 80 m² area has been developed for 500th anniversary of Piri Reis and His Maps Exhibition at Beşiktaş Naval Museum which is included in the 2013 celebrations and commemorations program of UNESCO.
TRAVEL THE SEVEN SEAS WITH THE FAMOUS MAP
OF PIRI REIS.
Etkivizyon® system developed by reo-tek with the support of TUBITAK is utilized to develop a 80 m2 interactive surface and a vertical display area within two themes. First theme is inspired from the map of Piri Reis and animated by the interaction of the visitors.
Second theme is based on sea life. A real-time ecosystem is created within a hydro-dynamically and optically simulated sea environment within several fish types which are capable of seeking food, escaping from visitors while trying to stay in herd group. Also a a gigantic humpback whale is reveals itself to lucky visitors.
