Cinema Atlas

With Cinema Atlas, an interactive map application, you can discover the movie theaters, films and newspaper clippings that were opened in Istanbul from the late 1800s to the first years of the Republic.

By touching the yellow information points you see on the map, you can reach the historical information and the different names of the venues where films are shown at different points in Istanbul.

This application provides the opportunity to navigate and question the data on cinema spaces in a way that it can relate to the social and cultural texture of Istanbul.
Examine the cinema archive from history to the present with the Cinema Atlas, which we made the unit design, interface and software for, like the other interactive applications in the Istanbul Cinema Museum.
